Larry Wheeler, CIC	R. D. Lee

Larry Wheeler and R.D. Lee comprise GHT-SOUTH.  Both were owners of Chippenham Insurers and pulled out of that organization to join with GHT Insurance Agency, Inc. to better help cover the Southside of the river.

Larry was in the banking business for eight years before becoming an agent with Nationwide Insurance Company, which he did from 1978 to 1984.  Then he went independent and started Chippenham Insurers.  Larry is a C.I.C. (Certified Insurance Counselor); which he maintains with extensive continuing education each year.

R.D. Lee started with Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Chesterfield County in 1983. After rapidly advancing to Agency Manager, he decided to go “independent” and joined James River Insurance as a commercial producer.  He later started Summit Insurance Agency and after five years, merged it with Chippenham Insurers.  “R.D.” tends to specialize in construction related accounts and along this line he has earned his C.B.I.A. designation from Builders University (Certified Builders Insurance Agent).  The particulars of insuring construction accounts require a never ending pursuit of continuing education to stay abreast in this ever changing insurance environment.
