Here are GHT, your Richmond insurance agency, we make a point to support local businesses. For the past four years, we have been running a Wine Check service at the Virginia Wine Expo to help support Virginia wineries. This year, the Expo is from February 24 to February 26, and we are in need of volunteers to help us with the service!

As a volunteer, you’ll help store attendee’s wine until they are ready to leave. This way, they don’t have to carry heavy bottles around the venue. The best news: when you volunteer with us for just one shift (typically three hours), you’ll get into any day’s Walk Around even for free! For example, if you are signed up to work a shift with us on Sunday, you can attend the Walk Arounds on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday for free. Tickets normally cost between $34 and $49, so this is a great deal!

This year, we will also be collecting tips for our service. All the money we collect will go to our charity of choice, Comfort Zone Camp. CZC is a bereavement camp for children who have lost someone close to them, such as a mother or father. Counselors at the camp help children deal with their loss in a healthy way by participating in support groups and other activities. The best part is that CZC is free to all children; that’s why it’s so important that we do everything we can to support the camp.
