As a parent, it can sometimes be difficult to come up with ideas for activities to keep our kids entertained. You don’t want your children to watch too much television, after all! Here are some great ideas for educational activities from your insurance agency in Richmond VA!

- Catching Insects. Send your kids outside with a butterfly net to catch bugs and make a collection. Just make sure they know not to disturb bees!
- The Zoo. On a free weekend, pack up the whole family and head to the zoo or the aquarium.
- Science Projects. On a rainy day, head to the kitchen and do a few science projects. It may be messy, but it will be tons of fun for both you and the kids!
- Story Telling. When you have something to do and can’t entertain the kids, ask them to write you a story. Give them a prompt, like writing a story about the dog. Set them up with paper, pencils, and crayons and let their imaginations run wild.
